IMRT uses computer-optimised, non-uniform radiation beams to deliver conformal dose to the tumour while minimising dose to adjacent structures. IGRT incorporates daily imaging (CBCT, kV X-ray) before each treatment to verify patient positioning. Together, IMRT+IGRT is the current standard for prostate, head & neck, and pelvic malignancies.
